London Fashion Week Day 1

First day, nervous was an understatement! I arrived an hour early at Somerset House and decided that I'd rather stand in the cold and RAIN watching everyone arrive in their private cars with blacked out windows, the thought of missing something or someone was definitely a fear I had.

I know it look miserable... anyway I finally got inside and collected my designer showroom pass!

So my job is simple, buyers and press from all over the world come to see Finlay&Co's glasses stand and I was there to answer their questions and queries. The press I spoke to ranged from Vogue Italia, to a Vancouver based magazine, to Elle UK and The Herald. Its pretty nerve wracking but once you've got the first few out the way it becomes pretty natural and easy.

Yesterday was an exciting day for the brand anyway as they launched their brand new website and their new sunglasses ranges, you really need to take a look, www.finlayandco.com

(blogger doesn't seem to want to change the size of these photos.....)

Every so often I'd take a break and have a peak at everyone queuing for shows under their umbrellas, holding their Prada bags close to save them from the rain, posing for photos.

It was a long and hard first day but meeting all the different people was an amazing experience!

When I was done for the day I went to Shoreditch for dinner at The Drunken Monkey, such amazing Chinese food, and loads of dim sun!! We then went on to a Mexican bar which I have to say was a hidden gem, from the outside it looked like a simple sophisticated bar, inside... was mayhem there was so much colour different rooms with different features, one contained a caravan cut in half that you could sit in and have drinks!

Video Shoot with Mallzee

I recently wrote a blog all about the company Mallzee who I am a student ambassador for. They are an amazing online shopping website which lets you create your own online shopping mall with some of your favourite high street brands, so they are all on one web page just for you. You can then shop online easily and with your friends.

I went down to Edinburgh to help shoot the video, to advertise their brand new app exclusively available for FREE on ITunes now, available here

Here is the brand new video;

It was an amazing day and lots of fun, we got to do the video shoot and then walked round Edinburgh having a few photos taken at different spots in the city centre. This is the day I realised that I feel sorry for models cause they have an extremely tiring jobs!

After a hard day of shooting we got to chill and try out the new app back at Mallzee headquarters.

You can share looks with friends, save your favourite items, and find the perfect dress. Its easy to use and gives you quick demonstrations of everything you need to know before you enter the app! My favourite feature is the discover tool which allows you to narrow down your search by type of clothing, colour or brand to find exactly what you are looking for.

Its hard to online shop on your phone unless you are purposely going on to buy one specific item, but the Mallzee app makes it so much easier to shop from all of your favourite store, on the go! If you are like me and can't get enough of shopping then you will love this app!

Visit mallzee.com to sign up to their website and create your own online mall, or download the app, trust me you won't regret it! (App available here)
If you do download it leave a comment and let me know what you think!!

MALLZEE

Ok, so in my first ever blog a few months a go I mentioned that I was an ambassador for Mallzee.com and now its time to delve in a little deeper and learn more about this amazing online shopping site.

So Mallzee.com is a unique shopping experience where you can build your own shopping mall, chat with friends online and get style advice. You can choose from over 250 of your favourite high street brands including Urban Outfitters, ASOS, French Connection, Miss Selfridge and many more you'll be spoilt for choice! Once you have chosen your brand you are ready to start shopping. (Yes its that simple)

Thats not all though, you can filter your results so that you can see just dresses from all your chosen stores this means instead of having 100 of tabs open in your browser you simply have to scroll down to view all your choices.

You can also save items to your wardrobe!

I love this feature as it means I have all my favourite items saved until payday and they in one place. I think like the majority of fashion students I always seems to have too little to fund my shopping sprees.

Some other features including gaining Mallzee dollars every time you shop through the website which you can spend on any of the brands, yes thats right they pay you to shop!

You can also create polls, which is great if you are as indecisive as me and need a little help making a decision sometimes.

Whats not to love! Its so easy to join all you have to do is go to http://mallzee.com/ and connect through Facebook or sign up with email its that simple and you'll be on your way to being a part of this amazing new online shopping experience. If you are still undecided just ask yourself why not? Give it a try and see for your self just how easy and fun it makes online shopping.
