My OOTD for Clothes Show Live

So to follow on from my Clothes Show Live blog I thought i'd share with you my outift choices for the weekend, cause trust me it was a stressful process deciding....With the chance to meet some of my favourite celebrities it was very important to consider what I was wearing, you know, when you don’t want to look like you have put in loads of effort yet really you have been planning this outfit for weeks!

A few factors changed my outfit just days before as I bought my winter coat for this year; this fluffy blue number from Zara and I haven’t had it off since…

I also got my Christmas present from my Mum and Dad a few weeks early and oh my god it is just beautiful….

| Vivienne Westwood Jasmine Bag |

For the rest of my outfit I took a bit of inspiration from the 90s! Seen as 90s fashion has come back in every aspect it is now acceptable to pair socks and shoes, wear mom jeans and layer t-shirts and shoe string strap and yes.... i did all 3! I went a really 90’s OK but who doesn’t love the 90’s?

My jacket being such a cute blue it looks great teamed with a pair of jeans and there was no question as to which jeans. My Topshop Mom Jeans have been one of my favourite items in my wardrobe since I got them off my sister for my birthday they go with anything and everything.

My t-shirt and cami combi has become one of my favourite looks for winter not only does it look so cute but its also a great way to layer up your camis for winter so you don't freeze to death or they don’t just get shoved to the back of your wardrobe!

Finally SHOES! My shoes were from River Island but I found this similar pair on Kurt Geiger! I wore my ankle boots with white frill socks.

Finally to finish off my look for the day I used my brand new matte lipstick from MAC that i adore!

Hope you liked my outfit post, would love seem feedback and comments on what you think about the 90's!

Clothes Show Live

I would recommend Clothes Show Live to any fashion or beauty bloggers or just to anyone in general now I think about it! This was my second time at the event and I would 100% go back again, it is worth the travelling, tiredness, outfit stress, queues and everything else.

Clothes Show Live in collaboration with Britain and Ireland Next Top Model is a room full of all your favourite beauty and fashion brand giving away treats and freebies along with selling all your favourite items, Whats not to love? Not only this the room is full of celebs such as Henry Holland, Peter Andre, Jamie Laing and MUCH more, sounds tempting yes? ;)

There is no photo of me and Jamie as I never got to meet him, felt like crying as he is by far my favourite...

Anyway... along with this you get to attend an amazing fashion show full of great design, outstanding dance performances and usually a performance from a chart band such as Stooshe or Union J.
my favourite part of this had to be the topless models, I know I’m a fashion student but it’s nice to have that to look at too!

I went down with my flat mate as I treated her to the day ticket for her 21st birthday! With all this going on there is so much to talk about but if you ask Emma how the weekend was you’ll probably get something along the lines of “Peter Andre touched my face” as she grins away at you.....she is slightly obsessed.

Oh and to top of this off we went to see Take Me Out Live at the end of the day, Yes Paddy McGuiness, No likey, No lightly, but 10 times funnier and better with a cow crude jokes chucked in there that would never be allowed on TV. It was the perfect way to end an amazing day!

It was an amazing day, the only thing I would say is that next time I would consider getting a ticket for two days rather than just one as you will never manage to do everything you want in one day! Trust me!!

Check back tomorrow for my blog on my outfits for the weekend!

My Suitcase for Paris

So it may of taken me 3 days but I have finally packed for Paris. As I can't carry anything me and my boyfriend are sharing a suitcase, which I have a funny feeling isn't going to work too well as I have taken up about 70% of the space... but oh well. When I think of Paris fashion, I think glamorous, fitted, and cute. But as much as I would love to walk around in big dresses and heels all week, (a bit like Carrie Bradshaw) its just not practical sadly, so looks like i'm having to compromise a little.

However I have managed to fit in my cute Tulle strappy dress, cause everyone needs a bit of Carrie Bradshaw in their life.

Anyway I thought I would share some of my favourite pieces that I have packed, be warned the majority of it is from Topshop, definitely a Topshop Girl.

10 Things You Need For A City Break

So I am excited to say that after cancelling my last holiday due to my back I am officially off to Paris in 13 days! I went for a few days last year and loved it so much I had to go back. This time me and my boyfriend are going for a whole week. I went at the same time last year as it’s my birthday on the 9th of September, and let’s face it who wouldn’t want to wake up in Paris on their birthday for the 2nd year in a row!

I’m not always what you would call an organised person however packing, is a whole other matter. There are lists and sub lists, usually made weeks before to ensure I have everything I want to take in my suitcase. However I am also a terrible over packer and once everything off my list is in I tend to just throw in the remainder of my wardrobe, you know, just in case!

Last year when I went to Paris with my Mum and Sister I made a few mistakes,

Vintage Principles Outfit
I wanted to be glamorous in one of the fashion capitals of the world so insisted on wearing my heels all day, BIG MISTAKE! After about 3 miles of walking on day 1 my feet were in agony which resulted in having to wear flats the rest of the holiday as it was too painful to wear anything else on my feet.

I also took my handbag which is in the above photo, and as much as I love it having to hold it all the time was such a pain.

Finally I took a lot of loose, floaty skirts and dresses as I thought it’d be comfortable and cooling however the air vents on the floor resulted in a major of a Marilyn Munro moment, and because I was too busy holding my bag and phone I had no hands to hold my dress down, quite possible one of the most embarrassing moments of my life...

Luckily I was more prepared on this occassion
I have put together my top 10 things you should pack for a city break which will top of my list this year.

  1. 24 Hours Dress, just in case you lose track of time and head straight to dinner - available here
  2. Map, getting lost will waste a lot of time so make sure you map out where you are going
  3. Hair Accessories, with the heat and all that walking its far too hot to have long hair - available here
  4. Camera, capture your memories and unforgettable moments
  5. Denim, to dress up or down, go to item if you don't know what to put on - available here
  6. Comfortable Shoes, trust me you will thank me for this one - available here
  7. Sunglasses, to make any outfit look effortless, my personal choice, Finlay&Co - available here
  8. Hands Free Handbag, to make life easier, available here
  9. Mini Suntan Lotion, to carry in your handbag, Malibu smells amazing
  10. Neutral Pair of Heels, to go with everything in your suitcase - available here
I hope this is helpful, please comment if you can think of anything else...
