What I'll be wearing at London Fashion Week

Since I found out I was working at London Fashion Week I have been so excited planning and shopping. I've spent an awful lot of time checking out what was worn last year you know, cause everyone wants to dress like the celebs in one way or another..

By the way notice the heels!! My feet are gonna be killing me most days but I have been purchasing smaller heeled, comfier shoes to try and cope. I was told my clothing was to be smart but fashionable so here we go I have so far packed....

3 statement pencil skirts, leather trousers and top, Black suit, a white shirt, black cami, black and white polo, pink A-line skirt, my favourite cute dot-to-dot white t-shirt, Vivienne Westwood bag, Finlay&Co Sunglasses and 3 pairs of heels!! I got a few bargains in this lot, my silver heels were £6 in the New Look sale, my black blazer was £25 down from £70 in the Urban Outfitters sale and my navy blouse was down to £19 from £39. The sales were in perfect time for my spending spree! Oh and a heads up with this months Elle mangazine you get a 25% off Kurt Geiger Card which I used today to buy my black sandal heels.

I am taking a lot of inspiration from the beautiful Rita Ora...

No matter how crazy and out there her outfit is she always seems to look amazing and glamorous especially seen as she pairs nearly every outfit with her signature red lips.

What do you think of my outfit choices? Is there any celebrities that you love the style of! Let me know I love to hear what my readers think....

Grammys 2014

My favourite season in celeb world has started, Award Season! This usually results in me constantly refreshing vogue, as the celebrities arrive, to see the latest dresses, followed by going through every magazine/newspaper online the following morning in case I missed something. I must say they excelled themselves at the Grammys last night, the red carpet was full of designer dresses, thigh splits, boobs, metallic, colour, you name it someone had done it.

I managed to narrow it all down to a few favourites which all happen to either be white/cream or metallic but anyway....

let starts with the queen...

An extremely risque dress from Beyonce (well maybe not in comparison to her later outfit) but this Michael Costello dress looks amazing on her and I love how she teamed the white dress with a dark lipstick.

Next we have less risque dress from a more risque celeb

Usually seen in a bra-let and hot pants Iggy Azalea really shocked me with her fairly demure Elie Saab dress. With her slicked back hair and simple make-up she nailed the angelic look.

Finally another pale number that I loved was..

Anna Kendrick wowed in this cream Azzaro number she looked amazing and I love the horizontal bust straps definitely need to invest in a dress that has these.
Anna's metallic shoes and clutch lead me on to my next trend that shone on the red carpet last night. Lots of celebrities went metallic crazy for their dress choice last night and how amazing it turned out!

Taylor Swift looked extremely chic in this Gucci Premiere chain-metal gown this could possibly be my favourite overall look of the night...?

You wonder how she kept the speculations to just rumours with this bump but even pregnant, Ciara looked amazing in this Emilio Pucci gown that seems to hug her in all the right places.

Finally...

Chrissy Teigen had it all last night, the fish tail, the bold V neckline and the thigh split and wow did she look good. Her Johanna Johnson dress choice was perfect.
So there you have it... Thats my favourite 6 from last nights Grammy's! Please comment and let me know which dress was your favourite or what you think of my choices!

Bringing Back My 90's Style

Ok so i've had a lot of comments from my mum over my recent purchases mainly "oh you used to have one just like that when you were little" OR "Oh my god that is just like something I owned".

This inspired me to look at baby photos and I realised that she is right! Everything she dressed me in as a toddler, or I dressed myself in when I fancied looking more normal, was coming back into the shops and has been for the past year or so... So I thought i'd show you just what I mean in case any of you are questioning me! (Be prepared for cuteness overload haha)

So here is me... and yes that is my parents lovely sofa which I seem to match!
And here is my first outfit recreation...
Trousers - Topshop

This baby is my little brother who I seem to be squashing but getting a cute photo of the two of us was more important!

OK So you have hopefully noticed this is not me but my friend Nathan but I just had to mention dungarees

Girly Version of Nathans amazing look

Christmas OOTD, PVC

I have wanted a PVC skirt for months but after Rochelle from the Staurdays was photographed in the pink one Topshop suprisingly ran out of my size! However as part of my Christmas present I got a gorgeous Camel coloured one from Topshop similar to Kim Kardashian's.

As much as I love my PVC skirt, (even though my mother hates it), in my opinion there is only one way to wear it. Make sure your top is plain and understated where its a polo neck, t-shirt or sweat shirt.

My favourite thing to wear with mine is my Topshop short funnel neck black top!

What are your thoughts on PVC? Trashy? (mothers words!) Cute? Comment and let me know?

My Evening Dress Choice

Ok so following on from my Evening Dress Stress blog I thought i'd share my photos of my final decision!

In the end I went for something simple, a full length, black, velvet, backless dress! As soon as I saw it in the Rhianna for River Island collection I knew straight away that it was the one I wanted!

I absolutely loved my dress and didn't feel over dressed at all as there was such a wide mix of outfits. Some people were in short dresses and big heels while others were in more casual dresses and shoe boots and then there were a group of people in long dresses.

I had such an amazing night, although I was extremely nervous about not knowing anyone and meeting all of Alexs work colleagues, once I had a few glasses of bubbly in me I felt much better!

You were given play money to play poker, roulette or black jack and you know what they say about beginners luck... I spent about an hour winning every hand on black jack it was great fun! They also had a photo booth with funny props!!

Anyway after all the stress I found my perfect dress!

My OOTD for Clothes Show Live

So to follow on from my Clothes Show Live blog I thought i'd share with you my outift choices for the weekend, cause trust me it was a stressful process deciding....With the chance to meet some of my favourite celebrities it was very important to consider what I was wearing, you know, when you don’t want to look like you have put in loads of effort yet really you have been planning this outfit for weeks!

A few factors changed my outfit just days before as I bought my winter coat for this year; this fluffy blue number from Zara and I haven’t had it off since…

| Zara Mohair Coat | available here |

I also got my Christmas present from my Mum and Dad a few weeks early and oh my god it is just beautiful….

| Vivienne Westwood Jasmine Bag |

For the rest of my outfit I took a bit of inspiration from the 90s! Seen as 90s fashion has come back in every aspect it is now acceptable to pair socks and shoes, wear mom jeans and layer t-shirts and shoe string strap and yes.... i did all 3! I went a really 90’s OK but who doesn’t love the 90’s?

My jacket being such a cute blue it looks great teamed with a pair of jeans and there was no question as to which jeans. My Topshop Mom Jeans have been one of my favourite items in my wardrobe since I got them off my sister for my birthday they go with anything and everything.

| Topshop Mom Jeans | available here |

My t-shirt and cami combi has become one of my favourite looks for winter not only does it look so cute but its also a great way to layer up your camis for winter so you don't freeze to death or they don’t just get shoved to the back of your wardrobe!

Topshop Strappy V-Neck Cami | available here |
| Topshop Burnout Tee | available here |

Finally SHOES! My shoes were from River Island but I found this similar pair on Kurt Geiger! I wore my ankle boots with white frill socks.

| Kurt Geiger Sofie Peep Toe Boots | available here |
| Topshop Lace Trim Ankle Socks | available here |

Finally to finish off my look for the day I used my brand new matte lipstick from MAC that i adore!

Hope you liked my outfit post, would love seem feedback and comments on what you think about the 90's!

Talk about oversized..

So seen as the weather is now hitting a high of 11 degrees in Scotland it time to face facts, its WINTER so I thought I better start looking for a winter coat. I absolutely love the oversize coats that are coming in so I thought I would share my favourite few..

I love this Topshop coat its such a lovely shape and shade of grey
Topshop - £85

The Tartan items entering the shops will no doubt be in my wardrobe sooner or later
and the green in this coat makes it unique and a bit more quirky.
Zara - £89.99

Again with the Tartan but I think this is my favourite I love the colours and
the length it would be perfect with most outfits and I am really considering purchasing it.
What do you think?
Urban Outfitters - £145

Finally this pop of colour could brighten up any winter outfit, i'm not normally a
lover of long coats but I am really warming to them this year.

My Suitcase for Paris

So it may of taken me 3 days but I have finally packed for Paris. As I can't carry anything me and my boyfriend are sharing a suitcase, which I have a funny feeling isn't going to work too well as I have taken up about 70% of the space... but oh well. When I think of Paris fashion, I think glamorous, fitted, and cute. But as much as I would love to walk around in big dresses and heels all week, (a bit like Carrie Bradshaw) its just not practical sadly, so looks like i'm having to compromise a little.

However I have managed to fit in my cute Tulle strappy dress, cause everyone needs a bit of Carrie Bradshaw in their life.

Anyway I thought I would share some of my favourite pieces that I have packed, be warned the majority of it is from Topshop, definitely a Topshop Girl.

L is for Leather

I have always adored my leather jackets, my simple black biker jacket from Topshop and my vintage real leather bomber jacket; which I found in a vintage store in Paris for 25 euros!! With this is mind I had never considered other leather items of clothing until recently. I saw this photo of Alexa Chung on the Vogue facebook page and loved how cute and stylish she looked in a black leather skirt and white shirt. So I began my hunt for one of my own!

This is a Topshop number that I managed to find in the sale for £22 and I have hardly had it off since! Considering I can’t wear heels at the moment I love this skirt with my black ankle boots as I still feel dressy enough without my heels, which is usually a struggle for me!

I didn’t stop there though while in Topshop (shock) the other night I came across these white quilted leather shorts that I absolutely had to have!

Again I love the fact that you can dress them up or down with a simple change of shoes.  They are so comfy (much comfier than my leather skirt!) They are available on Topshop.com here; Quilted PU Shorts

I know there is a lot of stereotypes that sometimes come with tight black leather but I think as long as you pair it up with something simple and cute then you can't go too wrong!

Let me know your thoughts on leather...
